Dominic Calvert-Lewin looks set to be offered a new contract at Everton with The Friedkin Group evidently having their priorities right.
Following the completion of TFG’s takeover, several concerns at Everton will have emerged for the new owners with Calvert-Lewin’s contract situation one of them.
The Toffees striker is out of contract at the end of the season and will be free to negotiate a pre-contract deal with foreign clubs in January but it appears the Friedkin’s are keen on offering him a new deal at Goodison Park (TEAMtalk).
Given his known ability, it seems a no-brainer to keep him at the club and the news should spare some of the concerns over his future.
Calvert-Lewin update is good news for Everton
Despite having registered just two goals in Premier League encounters this season, Calvert-Lewin is an incredible asset to have and his presence is something that should be maintained on Merseyside.
Throughout his time at Everton, he has showcased his ability as a clinical finisher but that can only come to fruition in a team that can create opportunities and under Sean Dyche, he is often starved of chances.
With Dyche set to remain in charge, he simply has to find a way to utilise his striker to the best of his abilities because doing so will boost their chances of Premier League survival massively.

The Toffees are highly unlikely to be able to sign a striker of his pedigree if he was to leave the club and if they did, he would cost more than a pretty penny.
If TFG can tie their star striker down to a new contract it would be an excellent start to their journey as Everton owners.
