Arsenal are having some problems in front of goals recently.
The Gunners have failed to score from open play in any of their last three league matches, and goals from their attacking players seem to have dried up.
Luckily for Arsenal, the January transfer window is just around the corner, and the right signing this winter could well help the Gunners kick on.
Writing in his column for SportsKeeda, Paul Merson has been discussing Arsenal and their January transfer plans, and he claims that Alexander Isak would be the ideal addition to this Arsenal team.
Indeed, Merson says that Isak would make Arsenal a much better side and and this signing would cause massive problems for other teams in the Premier League.

Alexander Isak would improve Arsenal
Merson shared his verdict on Isak and Arsenal.
The pundit reckons the Swedish striker would be the perfect signing for the Gunners, claiming that the £60m man is on a different level to Gabriel Jesus.
Isak has been linked to Arsenal again recently, so perhaps this is one to keep in mind for January.
“I said this about Alexander Isak at the start of the season and I’m not changing it, if Arsenal got him it would have been the icing on the cake,” Merson wrote.
“I know Gabriel Jesus scored a hat-trick in the cup game. But Isak is on a different level. He’s a very good player and could have caused massive problems to other teams if Arsenal got him”
Alexander Isak compared to Gabriel Jesus
Merson says that Isak is a level above Gabriel Jesus, and he’s absolutely right.
You only need to look at the numbers to see that Isak is performing at a much higher level than Jesus at the moment.

Games 14 13

Assists 4 0
Premier League games
Isak is scoring at a respectable rate this season, while Jesus is still waiting on his first league goal.
Jesus did get a hat-trick in midweek in the Carabao Cup, so perhaps that will kickstart some sort of goalscoring form, but, so far this season, Jesus has been off the pace.
As for the Newcastle striker, Isak is potentially available in January , and that’s something that Arsenal should seriously consider moving on as they need a new attacker to bring a new dynamic to their frontline and help them in their quest to win the Premier League title.
Isak may well be the answer to Mikel Arteta’s problems at Arsenal, but whether or not the Gunners pursue a deal for the forward remains to be seen.
