Academy graduate to leave Arsenal at the end of the season

Arsenal academy graduate Reiss Nelson is set to leave the club at the end of this season. He is currently on loan at Fulham but will leave permanently once his loan expires.

Nelson came up through Arsenal academy and was viewed as star with bright future. He was expected to become a regular starter for the first team. But things did not go as per the plans.

The 25 year old failed to make an impact on the club. He was eventually sent on loan two different times at two different clubs. But since the past 2 seasons, Nelson was a regular player for Arsenal.

Nelson failed to perform under Mikel Arteta and was then sent on loan this summer. He joined Fulham on deadline day due to falling down the pecking order at Arsenal. Now, the player is set to leave permanently next year.

Reiss Nelson to leave Arsenal permanently next year

As per The Daily Mail, Nelson is set to leave Gunners at the end of the season. He is tied with Arsenal with contract running until 2027, but it seems like next year it will be end of his Arsenal career.

Fulham can sign the player permanently as he has performed well so far for them. The 25 year old has played 12 games this season for Fulham. He has registerd 2 goals and 1 assist.

Nelson recently earned his position as regular starter. He plays on left wing and has been paired with Iwobi on opposite wing. But, the 25 year has recently suffered hamstring injury. This will keep him away from pitch until mid february.

Arsenal will not be affected very much with the departure of Nelson. They are plotting a big move for quality winger. As of now, they have Raphinha, Nico Williams and Ademola Lookman in their sight.
