Kieran Tierney is the hot topic on Celtic supporters’ lips at the moment as speculation swirls that he could return to his former club in January.
Yesterday, news broke that Celtic are interested in bringing Kieran Tierney back to Parkhead amid Arsenal’s decision to forego their one-year contract extension option involving the Scotland international, who is now set to be a free agent next summer.
While his wages may prove tricky, the Lennoxtown graduate is open to taking a pay cut to seal a move after a frustrating couple of years that have been dominated by injury concerns.

Brendan Rodgers addressed speculation involving Celtic and Tierney earlier today, remaining coy on links with the 27-year-old. He also vowed to ‘improve the squad’ in January as the Bhoys aim to maintain their excellent start to the campaign.
With a busy window on the horizon, Scott Allan has made clear why a move north of the border may appeal at this stage in the Arsenal defender’s career.
Scott Allan weighs up reality of Kieran Tierney Celtic return
Speaking on the Warm Up, former Celtic man Allan believes home comforts could have a part to play if Tierney desires a return to his old club, but made clear he thinks the full-back still has more to give at Premier League level.
He stated: “Yeah, I think maybe in terms of where he’s at in his journey, he’s obviously had a lot of injuries, and he might just want that little bit of home comforts which he has with Celtic and his family back here.
“That might be the reason why he maybe engineers a move back here, but I’m on the same camp as Marv.

Celtic exploring different avenues to initiate Kieran Tierney deal
According to reports, Celtic are exploring both loan and pre-contract avenues for Tierney as they look to devise a plan to re-sign the 27-year-old next month.
It is unlikely the Bhoys would be the only side interested in a move, but it does feel like there is more mileage to this chase than rumours in years gone by.
Financially, any deal would be an expensive one to pull off, even if there ends up being no transfer fee to pay off in the summer.
Patience is a virtue Celtic will need to see this one over the line, though Arsenal do seem willing to play ball, which always helps!
