Excitement will still be ringing around the blue side of Merseyside following the takeover news which was confirmed on Thursday.
The Friedkin Group are arriving at Goodison Park with plans to provide the club some much needed stability.
But it is not going to be an easy task for the new owners with Everton clearly needing quite a bit of work as they battle the bottom three.
Sean Dyche has said The Friedkin Group are supporting him but the 53-year-old may need to improve the results consistently for that to remain the case.
Fortunately for Everton, the January transfer window is just days away from opening which will offer the opportunity to bolster their squad.

The Friedkin Group could have ‘surprise’ January in store at Everton
Ahead of the winter market, Everton are already expected to face PSR concerns despite the new ownership on Merseyside.
So the club may well be looking to play down the expectations of the fans ahead of the window, but Alan Myers is not so convinced.
The Sky Sports reporter said on social media that he expects a surprise or two to come out of the January window for the Toffees.

“Interesting comments on the transfer window and PSR from the manager, I still think there will be some work done and maybe a surprise or two in January, let’s see,” he said.
Everton passed on signing Erling Haaland a number of years ago, which highlights the transfer issues under Farhad Moshiri.
And the new regime will be looking to get off to a better start and adding some new faces in January would be a good way to get the fans onside early on.
Everton need a new left-back in January
It seems as if The Friedkin Group are keeping Kevin Thelwell as Everton’s director of football for the January window.
And he will be all too aware of the areas which the Toffees could do with improving.
Vitaliy Mykolenko has been criticised by Everton fans this season with the left-back failing to impress those at Goodison Park.
The January window is going to offer Everton an opportunity to fix that with Mykolenko even slammed as a ‘weak link’ for Dyche.
Although Everton fans will want to see some exciting names to come through the doors, perhaps keeping it sensible and addressing their issues would be the best move.
