Several Premier League players are at risk of being suspended for when their club plays on Boxing Day next week. This weekend will see yet more top-flight matches take centre stage in the final round of fixtures before Christmas.
Liverpool will travel to face Tottenham hotspur in north London on Sunday, while Everton will host Chelsea at Goodison Park on the same day. Both the Reds and the Blues have players who are just one yellow card away from being handed a one-game ban, and that is also the case for other clubs in the Premier League.
Players who amass five yellow cards across the first 19 matches of the Premier League season are handed one-game suspensions. Alexis Mac Allister has already served a ban as he missed last weekend's draw with Fulham after picking up five cautions across the first half of the campaign.

Darwin Nunez and Ryan Gravenberch currently have four yellow cards, and a booking against Tottenham would see them be unavailable for the Boxing Day clash against Leicester City. Ibrahima Konate also has four bookings but is currently sidelined with injury and is unlikely to be handed a suspension anytime soon.
Everton have Michael Keane and Ashley Young on four yellow cards this season. Cautions against Chelsea for either of the duo would see them miss the Boxing Day trip to Manchester City. At the moment, 40 players across the top flight are treading on thin ice with four yellow cards each alongside Nunez, Gravenberch, Konate, Young and Keane.
Fulham and Brentford are the only clubs not to have any players in danger of being handed a suspension. Any bookings in the Premier League don't carry over to domestic cup competitions like the Carabao Cup or FA Cup, reports Football London.
