Newcastle table bid to sign 18-year-old Manchester City-linked prodigy shining in La Liga

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United have tabled an offer for the services of Real Valladolid defensive sensation Juma Bah.

Newcastle United are looking to reinforce their backline and they have their eyes set on Juma Bah who has impressed during his debut campaign in Spain. According to a report from Fichajes, the Mapies have already submitted an offer as they look to strike a deal for him in the upcoming transfer window.

Bah joined Real Valladolid on a season-long loan last summer. So far he has been involved in 10 first-team fixtures and has impressed all with his performances. The teenager hasn’t had much difficulty in adjusting to life in Spain and he has been doing just fine in the Spanish top flight.

While Valladolid have been struggling to get out of the bottom positions in La Liga, the Sierra Leonean defender’s rise has been one of the positives for them. His performances along with his huge potential have already placed him on the wishlist of multiple top clubs.

The 18-year-old centre-back further enhanced his reputation with a sensational display against Valencia in their 1-0 win. His exceptional rise hasn’t gone unnoticed and quite a few clubs from England seem keen on signing him.

Premier League clubs push to sign Bah

Bah might have only played a limited amount of games at the highest level but clubs in the Premier League believe he has what it takes to become a top-level centre-half. Newcastle and Manchester City are two clubs who are interested in the teenager. The Tyneside club have already made a move to add him to their squad.

The Magpies were desperate to add a new centre-back to their team during the summer. Unfortunately, things didn’t go according to plan back then. While they do have some financial concerns, they are still looking for more depth at the back and feel Bah could help their cause.

He could add depth and eventually be an important first-team player. Eddie Howe’s team have already submitted an offer worth €10 million. While Valladolid only have his loan rights at this point, they are looking to secure his services on a permanent basis before negotiating a possible sale.

His departure will deprive them of a great talent but it will result in a significant financial boost. Meanwhile, Manchester City are also keen on his signature. They have taken note of his incredible rise and could rival the Magpies.
