Dwight McNeil has arguably been the best player at Everton this season and their hopes of a revival under their new ownership may hinge on his ability to stay consistent.
McNeil has been a standout performer in an otherwise dismal campaign for the Toffees and his recent injury may be a concern.
Under the stewardship of Sean Dyche, Everton have struggled to compete in the Premier League but with the new ownership in place, a revival of the club looks set to be underway and McNeil will be at the forefront of that.
Dwight McNeil will be key to Everton progression
The Toffees have struggled in an offensive sense with several attackers underperforming this season although McNeil is not one of them.
In fact, alongside Iliman Ndiaye, McNeil has consistently shown his quality in the final third and any hopes of a revival this season will hinge on those two players in particular.

According to FotMob, McNeil has registered an impressive 3.95 xA (expected assists) with only three of those resulting in a goal showcasing the finishing deficiencies in the squad.
With 33 chances created, he has been the creative spark in a side severely restricted by the dull style of play that Dyche has adopted and his 81.4 per cent pass accuracy is more than respectable given his role in the team.
His ability on the ball is just as good as his creative abilities having completed 20 dribbles in the Premier League this season with a 55.6 per cent completion rate.

Quite remarkably, McNeil has scored three times this season from an xG (expected goals) of just 0.91 although those chances were converted into an xGOT of 1.21, showcasing his ability to turn a half chance into a good one.
His role in the side will be crucial for the remainder of the season as Everton set out the foundations for a Friedkin revival.
