The plot was spread out over two incidents in March 2022 in Paris and July 2022 at the Juventus training camp in Turin.
On Thursday, a Paris count sentences Mathias Pogba to a three-year prison term, but two of those years are suspended and he is being allowed to see out the one year wearing an electronic bracelet.
It means Mathias will not be behind bars, but has also been fined €20,000.
The five other defendants were sentenced up to eight years imprisonment for extortion, kidnapping and participation in a criminal association.

“There is no winner in this case which involves members of my family and people I have known since childhood,” said Pogba in a statement delivered by his lawyer.
“I can finally turn the page on this extremely painful period. This conclusion is an opportunity for everyone to focus on the future.
“Now that the judgement has been made, I can fully concentrate on my return to professional football.”
Pogba is a free agent after terminating his contract with Juventus by mutual consent and will not be able to resume playing until his 18-month ban for failing a doping test expires in March 2025.
