Barcelona Set Conditions for £40M-Rated Man Utd Star’s Switch as PSG Move Doubtful

Rúben Amorim’s choice to exclude Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United’s group for last Sunday’s derby against Manchester City has fueled rumors about Rashford’s future at the club.

According to Alex Crook of TalkSPORT, Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad is monitoring Rashford’s situation after his absence from the matchday group. However,TBR Football reports that while interest from Saudi clubs remains, Rashford has no plans to move to the Middle East.

In Europe,Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic shares that Paris Saint-Germainare not pursuing Rashford at this time. Melissa Reddy of Sky Sports adds that no clubs are currently targeting the forward, pointing to concerns about his recent form, off-field issues, and significant wage demands.

Meanwhile,Chris Wheeler of the Daily Mail suggests Manchester United might be open to offers in the region of £40 million for the forward.

GIVE ME SPORT’s Ben Jacobs reports that PSGhave not made any new approach for Marcus Rashford, even though their sports advisor, Luis Campos, is fully aware of the player’s situation.

While club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has previously held discussions with Rashford’s camp, he is unlikely to pursue further talks without a clear signal of interest. This reluctance stems from PSG’s experience before Rashford signed his five-year contract extension in July 2023.

At the time, Al-Khelaifi felt the club was being used as leverage to help Rashford secure better terms from Manchester United. As a result, PSG stepped back andhaven’t re-engaged since.

Jacobs also claims that Rashford is open to a move to LaLiga, and Barcelonasee him as a good fit. However, the financial aspects of the deal make it almost impossible unless Manchester Unitedare willing to agree to a loan and cover a large portion of his wages.
