Liverpool considering Raphinha as an option amid mo salah stand-off
As reported by TBR Football, Liverpool remain interested in Barcelona forward Raphinha amid protracted contract negotiations with Mo Salah.
The Brazil international has grown leaps and bounds since his £55m move to Camp Nou from Leeds United. This season, in particular, under Hansi Flick, his numbers have reached another level, with the 28-year-old currently sitting on 17 goals and 10 assists from 24 appearances across all competitions this season.
Liverpool’s contract negotiations with their Egyptian star forward remain in limbo, with the 32-year-old having hinted at the possibility of taking up a new adventure, though the club remain positive.
Raphinha, on the other hand, has previously been considered by the Blaugrana as an asset they could offload to deal with their ongoing financial issues, the latest hit from which could see them lose summer signing Dani Olmo for free.
TKT Opinion
The latest development of Barça’s financial woes reminds us that, because of their own hubris, the Catalan club can consider very few of their assets “unsellable”. Raphinha is a player they were already looking to sell in the summer, so his sensational numbers this season will only have them licking their lips for a bigger offer.
Logic dictates that, if they have the chance, Liverpool should consider getting a longer-term solution in Raphinha instead of handing a mid-term, whatever-he-wants contract to Salah.

However, given the Egyptian is currently more in than out, it wouldn’t be the wildest thing in the world if Liverpool were to return for Raphinha next summer and try bedding him in while Salah is at the club.
