Chris Sutton has ruled that Everton have to keep Sean Dyche as their manager if they want to stay in the Premier League ahead of a clash against Chelsea on Sunday.
Following the completion of the Friedkin Group’s takeover at Goodison Park, there is plenty of speculation surrounding Dyche’s future and whether the new owners will give him an opportunity.
The Blues’ first game under the new ownership is not an easy one as they face a Chelsea side that are unbeaten in 11 games in all competitions.
The Toffees would have to pull something out of the bag to get a result on home turf but Sutton has urged no crucial managerial decisions to take place as a result of the scoreline.
In his BBC Sport predictions, the former Chelsea striker wrote: ” The takeover at Everton has gone through now so there will probably be some speculation about Sean Dyche’s future, but they would get rid of him now at their peril.

“Basically, if they want to stay in the Premier League this season then they have to keep him as manager.
“Dyche’s Everton side are not tearing up any trees but they showed in the draw at Arsenal how resolute they are – they are awkward and difficult to break down.
“Even so, you can’t back against Chelsea right now, with the confidence they are playing with and the winning run they are on. Prediction: 1-2.”
Sean Dyche can keep Everton in the Premier League
It’s unsurprising that there has been speculation surrounding the 53-year-old this season, with Everton only three points clear of the relegation zone at this point in the campaign.
However, things have been difficult on and off the pitch at Goodison for some time now and that has to be taken into account when analysing the manager’s reign at the club.
TFG will have their sights set on survival as it is key that they make their move to their new stadium as a top-flight club but, with this in mind, the boss will surely be given the backing to make some additions in January to ensure this is an easier job to complete.

What the future will hold past that is yet to be seen but Dyche has proved that he is a manager with the ability to keep sides up and it’s better to back him rather than rock the boat with a crucial second half of the season to come.
Although the Blues face a tough game this weekend, it’s crucial to look at the bigger picture even if they lose as Sutton predicts.
In other Everton news, a £500m development has emerged after TFG’s takeover.
