Liverpool could be set to cause West Ham United a very big problem when the January transfer window opens.
The January window will be a vital one for West Ham head coach Julen Lopetegui and Liverpool boss Arne Slot, with the two very keen to bolster their ranks at the London Stadium and Anfield respectively.
Lopetegui is said to be plotting some exciting moves for attacking duo Evan Ferguson and Charles De Ketelaere.
However, more additions will be required, if we are to enjoy a successful 2024/25 campaign on all fronts.
The same can be said for Liverpool. They are bang in the middle of a title race, and have every chance of winning the Champions League as well.

One or two big signings could get them over the line in both comeptitions.
Unfortunately for us, one of their alleged transfer plans could end up affecting the Hammers.
West Ham blow as Liverpool push to sign young star in January
One of the Hammers’ main January transfer plans could be ruined by Liverpool it seems.
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
If it’s a straight shoot out between West Ham and the Reds in the race to sign one of our top targets, there will be only one winner unfortunately.
According to a report from Foot Mercato, Liverpool are pushing hard to sign Rayan Cherki in January.
Now, that will be a big problem for West Ham, with the 21-year-old Lyon star believed to be a key transfer target for us.
It has been suggested that the Hammers have been planning a deal that could cost just £12.4 million in January.
We were actually linked with a move to sign him back in the summer as well.
The France under-21 international would be the perfect replacement for Lucas Paqueta at West Ham, if we do indeed sell the Brazilian.
The Lyon star possesses truly incredible technical ability.
Rayan Cherki a superstar of the future
He is a mercurial play-maker and a real blast from the past in the modern era – someone who is capable of making things happen out of nothing.

Cherki is at his best when operating in the number 10 position, but he can play out on both wings as well if required to do so.
That kind of versatility makes the £12.4 million fee needed to sign him even more of a bargain.
Football Talent Scout have described the Frenchman as a ‘world-class’ player, and whilst he may not be at that level just yet, he certainly has the potential to reach those heights.
Meanwhile, he has been compared to Chelsea and Belgium legend Eden Hazard by French football expert Jonathan Johnson.
Rayan Cherki is a truly incredible talent, and his skillset would instantly make him a huge fan favourite at West Ham.
However, Liverpool forcing their way into the picture to sign him is terrible news for the Hammers.
The Merseyside outfit have a pull that few other clubs do, unfortunately for us.
