Liverpool have to pay £40-50 million to sign Manchester United and Arsenal target Antonee Robinson in January, according to Football Insider. The Reds are looking for a long-term replacement for Andrew Robertson, who will turn 31 in March.
The Scottish left-back has been outstanding for the Merseyside club since arriving in 2017 from Hull City. Robertson has registered 11 goals and 66 assists from 318 games for Liverpool to date but has displayed signs of regression of late.
The Reds are determined to maintain the standards in the position and have identified Robinson as an option. The American has been on a roll with Fulham this season, registering six assists from 16 games in the Premier League.
His efforts have earned him admirers at Arsenal and Manchester United as well. The Red Devils have an urgent need for a new left-back following Luke Shaw's prolonged injury woes.
Ruben Amorim has Tyrell Malacia in his roster but the Dutchman only recently returned to full fitness after being sidelined for 18 months. Manchester United are looking to address the position in January and want Robinson for the job.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also on the lookout for a specialist left-back, with Mikel Arteta planning for an upgrade on Oleksandr Zinchenko. The US international has apparently popped up on the Spanish manager's radar.
Interestingly, Liverpool is the club most linked with Robinson at the moment. It was previously believed that a move is likelier in the summer. However, the Reds could get their man in January if they are willing to pay a premium fee for the player.
