A Chelsea star has dropped a heartfelt message to former club teammate Mason Mount after the Manchester United player confirmed his latest injury setback.
Mason Mount’s spell at Old Trafford has been disrupted by injuries and the Manchester United star has struggled to replicate his once scintillating Chelsea form.
The 25-year-old United player left the Blues in 2023 after he was signed for an initial fee of £55m, with a further £5m agreed in add-ons.
Mount was restricted to only 20 appearances across all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign, with injuries curtailing his debut season at Old Trafford.
Former United manager Erik ten Hag, who was sacked in late October, had been a big fan of Mount and had kept faith with the former Chelsea ace amid his injuries.
Ruben Amorim, much like Erik ten Hag, has seen Mount as part of his plans at Old Trafford after he succeeded the former Ajax boss as United head coach.

The former England international has managed only four starts in seven league appearances in the 2024-25 campaign before his latest injury.
Mount had already missed a run of matches for United this season after he picked up a hamstring injury in August.
The ex-Three Lions and Chelsea star suffered his latest setback at the Etihad in the 2-1 win over Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend.
Mount started the Manchester derby and lasted only 14 minutes before United manager Ruben Amorim replaced him with Kobbie Mainoo due to injury.
Chelsea captain Reece James took to Instagram Stories and sent former Blues teammate Mount a poignant message after the player picked up another injury.

“It’s real tough and lonely man! Speedy recovery and stay strong brother! I have [no] doubts you’ll be back to your best.”

What has Mount said about his injury?
Amorim confirmed that Mount would be sidelined with an injury and the former Sporting CP boss admitted his player would be out of action for some time.
Mount took to Instagram on Friday and said he was “devastated” by his injury, but the former Three Lions international has vowed to fight back.
“Words can’t portray how devastated I’m feeling right now, you could probably see the look on my face when it happened,” he said.
“I knew what it meant. United fans, you may not know me too well yet, but one thing I can guarantee, I will never give up or lose faith.
“I’ve said this before, but I will continue to give everything, get through this tough period and won’t stop until that’s achieved.”
