The Friedkin Group’s takeover at Everton is providing fans with a lot of optimism for what is to come in the future.
However, there is still a lot of issues which Everton are going to have to resolve for their future to be bright.
Sean Dyche has not had an easy ride since he was appointed at Goodison Park with issues both on and off the pitch to deal with.
Following the announcement on Thursday, The Friedkin Group are eyeing big changes at Everton ahead of the summer.
There are a number of players set to see their contracts at the club expire with one player’s situation likened to that of Marcus Rashford at Manchester United.

Everton warned of their own Marcus Rashford situation with Dominic Calvert-Lewin
There is a host of players due to leave Goodison in the summer and Dominic Calvert-Lewin is one of 13 Everton players out of contract at the end of the term.
Calvert-Lewin has received interest from Juventus ahead of the January window where he will be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club.
Speaking on the Premier League preview show, Jermaine Beckford has drawn comparison to Calvert-Lewin’s situation at Everton with that of Rashford.

“It’s a major issue. And you know, you’ve got players like Dominic Calvert-Lewin, whose situation is not that dissimilar to Marcus Rashford,” he said.
“Where he’s been at the club for a long, long time. He’s very comfortable. He’s saying he’s giving 100% and in his mind, at this current moment in time, he believes that.
“But when you’re watching it, and I know he’s had injury problems in the past as well, he’s overcoming those. But when you’re watching him, you can see he’s holding something back now, whether that’s because he’s afraid of getting injured again, or he doesn’t quite trust his body, or there’s just maybe a fire that’s gone out ever so slightly. I don’t know. I do think that he needs a fresh a fresh challenge.”
Everton want to offer Calvert-Lewin a new contract, but, as things stand, it is not looking overly promising.
The striker has played his football on Merseyside since 2016 and there could well now be a feeling that the striker is in need of a new challenge.
Everton need to replace Calvert-Lewin with Armando Broja
Calvert-Lewin has struggled massively this season in front of goal, but he has not had much competition with other strikers out through injury.
However, the injury luck on Merseyside has turned a corner and Everton fans have praised Armando Broja after his cameo display against Arsenal.
Amid his contract saga, Calvert-Lewin is now receiving interest from another Italian outfit in Fiorentina.
Given the striker is showing no signs of putting pen to paper, perhaps it is now time to start the likes of Broja in his place.
It is not exactly like Calvert-Lewin is offering much in front of goal during this contract standoff with two young strikers now hungry for an opportunity in the starting XI.
