Martin Keown has singled out one Chelsea individual for his sheer brilliance on the football pitch, but he’s one of so many players thriving at Stamford Bridge this season.
When you look at the current Chelsea squad, there is plenty of exciting and talented young players.
Blues manager Enzo Maresca has done a stellar job since his summer arrival of gelling the group together, and the positive results have been flooding in.
Chris Sutton claims Chelsea will now be laughing about all the stick they received in the early stages of their current ownership. While many people criticised the club’s approach, particularly in the transfer market, everything is starting to fall into place now. They will temporarily move to the top of the Premier League with a win away to Everton on Sunday.

Martin Keown in awe of Cole Palmer
Martin Keown has delivered a glowing assessment of Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, claiming he’s outstanding both in and out of possession.
“It is still astonishing that City were ever willing to sell Cole Palmer because he has magical powers,” Keown told The Daily Mail.
“Out of possession, he is just as intelligent, knowing when to join Nicolas Jackson in pressing high up the pitch. Palmer is forever on the move, taking up new positions to receive the ball.
“In possession, he is special, with 11 goals, six assists and more chances created than any other player this season.”

In Palmer, Chelsea certainly have one of the Premier League’s elite players. He’s proving that last year’s exceptional season wasn’t a one-off, too.
The 22-year-old attacker is playing some outstanding football this term as the central No.10 in Maresca’s team.
Many in the Premier League think Chelsea are title contenders because of Palmer. It helps that teammates around him have massively upped their levels this season, but the English playmaker is still the star attraction in the team.
