Thomas Frank is one of the brightest managers in the Premier League.
Frank has done an incredible job with Brentford in recent times, and he has been linked with a number of top jobs.
Frank has been eyed by Tottenham in the past, while Manchester United have looked at Frank too.
The Brentford manager has done a stellar job and he’s helped turn some of his players into absolute superstars.
Speaking to the EFL, Frank has been asked to describe a number of his former players using just one word, and he reserved some special praise for Arsenal goalkeeper, David Raya.

Thomas Frank hails David Raya
Frank was tasked with using just one word to describe Raya.
Of course, it’s tough to label any player using just one word, let alone a goalkeeper with a skillset as varied as Raya.
Frank ultimately opted for a very apt description of Raya, claiming that the goalkeeper is simply ‘quality’.
Frank also had good things to say about a number of his former and current Brentford players.

Pontus Jansson Passion
David Raya Quality
Ivan Toney Presses
Ollie Watkins Beast
Ethan Pinnock Reliable
Ivan Toney was linked to Arsenal at one point, and Frank noted the striker’s pressing ability when asked about the former Bees striker.

Raya would eventually leave Brentford for Arsenal in a deal worth £27m, and he’s gone on to become brilliant for Arsenal.
Raya has been praised for his performances for Arsenal this season, but he truly evolved into a top goalkeeper at Brentford, and the stats show it.

Goals conceded per game 1.01
The Spaniard has gone onto bigger things now with Arsenal, but he will always be grateful to Brentford and Thomas Frank for the platform they gave him.
Raya made some incredible saves during his time at Brentford, and he played a huge part in their promotion campaign in 2021.
Nowadays, Raya is a fully-fledged Spain international who is starring in the Champions League, but he may not have got so far in his career if it weren’t for Frank and Brentford giving him the chance to play in the Premier League.
As Frank says, Raya is a truly quality goalkeeper.
