On matchday 17 of the Premier League, Leicester City host Wolves in a relegation showdown at the bottom of the table.
Leicester fell to a disappointing 4-0 defeat against Newcastle United last weekend, which kept them in 17th place.
Meanwhile, Wolves – who appointed Vitor Pereira before this clash – are sitting in 19th position, five points worse off than the Foxes.
With some tough fixtures to come over the festive period, Ruud van Nistelrooy will be targeting a huge victory against a relegation rival at the King Power Stadium.
Heading into this six-pointer, Leicester fans were fuming that Matheus Cunha wasn’t banned after watching the Wolves talisman hit an Ipswich Town security guard.
Nonetheless, the Brazilian will be ready to start for the new manager, and van Nistelrooy will need to stop the man who has scored eight goals this term.

Leicester City team and injury news ahead of Wolves
There was some positive news for the Dutchman to digest in Friday’s pre-match press conference as he confirmed Harry Winks is fit and available.

However, it wasn’t just an update on the midfielder fans were waiting for. Mads Hermansen went off injured against Newcastle, and his chances of featuring this weekend took a huge blow.
Updating supporters on Friday, van Nistelrooy revealed there’s a ‘possibility’ Hermansen will be fit to take his spot between the sticks on Sunday.
Unfortunately, Leicester will still be without Wilfred Ndidi over the festive period as he’s in rehab after suffering a hamstring injury two weeks ago.
The Nigerian continues to be a big miss for the Foxes, who will be hoping for some more Jamie Vardy magic to secure a win over Wolves.
Leicester City predicted lineup vs Wolves
In Leicester’s 4-0 defeat to Newcastle, there were several disappointing performers on the afternoon.
For instance, it took Oliver Skipp and Hamza Choudhury 60 minutes to complete a tackle, as the duo were bullied in the engine room by Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes.
Van Nistelrooy also surprisingly left Facundo Buonanotte out of the starting lineup, introducing him in the second half.
Buonanotte should now start against Wolves, with the Dutchman deploying his talented youngster in the number 10 role.
Indeed, the changes van Nistelrooy will likely make on Sunday are Skipp, Choudhury and Stephy Mavdidi out for Winks, Boubakary Soumare and Bounanotte all coming in.
So, with all that said, here’s how Leicester could lineup.
