Facundo Buonanotte has told Tottenham striker to make Leicester City transfer

Leicester City loanee Facundo Buonanotte has advised his former teammate Alejo Veliz that he should come to the King Power Stadium if only to learn from his striker colleague Jamie Vardy. Buonanotte has been a hit for the Foxes since joining from Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion on a loan basis in the summer transfer window.

Buonanotte, who only turns 20 before Christmas, has contributed to six of City's league goals in his 13 appearances this season, and having moved from Brighton for the season he has been working up close with club legend Vardy, who agreed terms to remain at the club at the end of last season.

The captain turns 38 next month but is continuing to spearhead the club's attack and has returned six goals and three assists of his own since the beginning of the season, including a couple of goals since another notorious goalscorer, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, was made manager. Vardy has clearly made an impression on Buonanotte, who is good pals with Spurs forward Veliz.

The Argentine is spending this season out on loan at Espanyol in La Liga, and has scored only once in a side which currently occupies one of the places in the relegation zone of Spain's top flight. Vardy, for Buonanotte, would be the perfect role model for 21-year-old Veliz to take tips from.

“I would tell Tanque [Alejo] Véliz to come here to learn from Jamie Vardy. He is on loan but now he is at Tottenham, so I think he knows about this. During the time we were at Central we made a nice duo,” he told Ole, as relayed by Sport Witness.
