Kieran Tierney is the main talking point among Celtic supporters after he was linked with an astonishing return to Parkhead.
The Scotland international won eight trophies in 170 appearances during his first spell in Glasgow, registering eight goals and 37 assists.
Earlier this week, reports broke that Celtic are interested in a reunion with Kieran Tierney and he is open to a wage cut to seal a move back to his boyhood club.

Said to be in the exploration stage, the Bhoys are mulling over a pre-contract or loan offer for Tierney after Arsenal made it known they weren’t activating his one-year extension clause, leaving him set to become a free agent next summer.
Brendan Rodgers knows all about his capability from his first stint in charge at Celtic and has made no secret of his admiration for the player in the past, but it remains to be seen if the Irishman can deal him in next month or beyond.
Reviewing the situation, Marvin Bartley has served his verdict on how Tierney’s future could pan out as speculation continues to surround the former Bhoys star.
What Marvin Bartley said off-air about Kieran Tierney
Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Bartley said off-air that Tierney would be a ‘fantastic’ asset should he arrive back at Celtic, but believes he could also opt to further his financial earning potential by staying south of the border.
He stated: “I think Tierney can, I really do. If he was to choose Celtic as his next club, as we spoke about, he’s 27 years of age. I think a better player comes back than the one that left, I think that when he left, he was a player with a lot of potential.
MORE CELTIC STORIES
“I do agree; I’ve said the same off-air. Kieran Tierney at his age can go and earn more money elsewhere, I think he can give the Premier League another crack. I think there’ll be teams abroad that want him as well.
“If he was to do that for two or three years then come back to Celtic at the age of 30. He’s still such a young man, he’s basically hitting the prime of his career where he should be hitting hit prime.
“Another two or three years then he can still come back to Celtic and contribute, not just to be a passenger in an emotional return. I do agree, there is more money to be earned elsewhere, but if he is to come back next season, it’s fantastic for the Scottish game.
“Celtic would have a real player on their hands, one that left with potential, but now, Kieran Tierney fit, there’s not many better full-backs than him in world football.”
Kieran Tierney’s wages vs success dilemma
On one hand, there is a school of thought that Tierney would simply want to get back to playing regular football in a comfortable environment again.
In midweek, the Scotland international made his first appearance in 19 months for Arsenal after a six-month layoff due to injury, featuring for 69 minutes in a 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace.
Despite his successful outing, he doesn’t look likely to form a long-term part of their plans, and therefore, a move elsewhere looks likely to be the most likely scenario in the near future.
Money will be there to be made either in the Premier League or further afield, but would he forego financial gain to come to Celtic? It remains to be seen, though if there is one man that would, he would be your candidate.
