West Ham United play host to Brighton in the Premier League this afternoon, and Julen Lopetegui has named his starting XI for the game.
Julen Lopetegui is in desperate need of a win today in order to keep the wolves at bay, with his job thought to be on the line.
West Ham certainly won’t have things all our own way at the London Stadium – Brighton are a very good team after all.
However, they haven’t been in very good form of late, and have drawn two and lost two of their last four outings.
We have to start the match on the front foot, and take the game to the visitors.
So how has Lopetegui lined up for the showdown with the Seagulls?

The Hammers players all have to be on top of their games this afternoon.
Brighton might not be in good from, but Seagulls boss Fabian Hürzeler still has an exceptionally talented group of players at his disposal.

MORE WEST HAM STORIES
Here’s how Lopetegui has set up his team to take on Brighton, as confirmed by West Ham’s official X account:
Lukasz Fabianski, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Max Kilman, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Emerson Palmieri, Edson Alvarez, Tomas Soucek, Lucas Paqueta, Mohammed Kudus, Jarrod Bowen, Niclas Fullkrug
The decision to start Fullkrug is a majorly bold call from Lopetegui. Let’s hope that the German is up for the challenge.
Nothing less than 100% commitment from the players will do today.
Brighton are definitely there for the taking, as long as West Ham put in a proper performance.
The likes of Bowen and Kudus need to step up and produce the goods for us.
The West Ham starting XI selected by Lopetegui is certainly good enough to get the job done.
I’m going for a 2-1 win for the Hammers, COYI X
