Chelsea and Spurs keen to sign highly rated Eredivisie star

Chelsea and Spurs are both showing strong interest in one common player. The star in question is highly rated and currently having a great season for Eredivisie club.

The star in question is David Hancko who currently plays for Feyenoord. He is 27 years old and represents Slovakia on the international stage. He has played in 48 international matches so far. In addition, he has 5 goals and 7 assists for his country.

Hancko mainly plays as centre back but can adapt and play as a left back too. He has been the first choice defender for Feyenoord since the last two seasons. This season he has played 24 games for Feyenoord and has already registered 3 goals and 2 assists in those.

Chelsea and Spurs keen to sign David Hancko

According to TEAMtalk, Hancko is open to move away from Feyenoord next year. He is currently being linked with Chelsea and Tottenham. Earlier, there were reports that stated Hancko has agreed a contract with Juventus.

However, the Slovakia international has turned down all the rumours. He has confirmed that the reports about him being involved in talks with Juventus are fake. This will come as a relief for both the Blues and Spurs.

Chelsea are doin really well this season but their defence still seems like lacking something. In addition, players like Badiashile and Disasi are constantly linked with away moves. Hancko can be a good addition considering his experience of playing at top level.

On the other hand, Spurs are keen to sign defenders due to injury crises. Romero and Van de Ven have been sidelined with injuries. In addition, Ben Davis will require a proper replacement due to his age.

Lastly, the interest from Juventus can’t be ignored just yet. They are expected to sign atleast one or two defenders due to current situation. Bremer and Cabal who are both the main defenders are currently sidelined due to injuries.
