Barcelona legend backs team to recover after recent dip in form – ‘I trust Hansi Flick’

Former Barcelona superstar and club legend Rivaldo has backed the team to turn things around after their recent slump in form in La Liga.

The Blaugrana, after a brilliant start to the season, have seen their form decline in recent weeks in the league.

Indeed, Hansi Flick’s side have won just one of their last six La Liga matches, collecting only five points from the 18 available. This run includes two home losses against Las Palmas and Leganes.

Rivaldo acknowledged that Barcelona had dropped crucial points but insisted that he had faith in Flick and the players to recover from this slump.

“Barça have let go of very important points in recent matches, but they are still the leaders of La Liga,” said the former Ballon d’Or member.

“I trust in Flick and the work of the players, which is good, so I believe they will recover the level they showed at the beginning of the season, when the rivals had nightmares facing them both in La Liga and in Europe.”

Continuing, Rivaldo added that he expects Barcelona to stand out in La Liga and return to their best version in the coming weeks.

“Barcelona will win again and stand out in La Liga, although Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are always lurking, especially Real Madrid, who can never be counted out,” the Brazilian icon remarked.

Regarding the showdown between Barça and Atletico Madrid tonight in Montjuic, Rivaldo shared his thoughts, saying:

“It’s a tough match for Barcelona because Atletico will try to stop them in every way possible. Simeone is a great coach, and his work with the players is remarkable.

“At the start of the season, Atletico was in a complicated situation, but now they are tied on points, which shows the quality of Simeone. It will be a tight match, but I believe Barcelona has everything to win.”
