Matchday Gallery | Hammers trail Brighton early in second half

Mohammed Kudus struck to cancel out Mats Wieffer's goal and bring West Ham United level against Brighton & Hove Albion at 1-1.

After an attritional opening period, in which neither side seriously threatened a goal, it was Brighton who broke the deadlock just six minutes after the restart.

Lewis Dunk just about stayed onside to beat Łukasz Fabiański to Pervis Estupiñán's cross from the left, nodding it back for Wieffer to knock home.

Brighton's lead only lasted seven minutes though, as Tomáš Souček played Jarrod Bowen in. Albion keeper Bart Verbruggen parried the No20's shot, but only into the path of Kudus, who headed the rebound in from close range.
