Arsenal and Manchester United had scouts placed on Benjamin Sesko recently. The both clubs were keeping close tabs on the player in the recent fixture between Leipzig and Bayern Munich. In addition, Man City scouts were also present in the match.
Arsenal and United are both looking to sign a striker next year. Firstly, Gunners do not have a clinical number nine at the club. Mikel Arteta uses Kai Havertz as the main striker. The German has done a decent job but is ineffective sometimes as this is not his preferred position.
In addition, Gabriel Jesus has been out of form and is way behind in pecking order. He recently scored hattrick but is yet to score any goal in Premier League this season. The Brazilian is very likely to move away from the Emirates.
Then about United, the Red Devils are currently struggling right now. Ruben Amorim has taken over as head coach and United are in transition phase. The club is not impressed with several players who can leave next year.
One of the upsets this season has been summer signing Joshua Zirkzee. In addition, Hojlund has also been inconsistent along with Rashford who is already linked with January exit. A new striker is very likely to arrive at Old Trafford soon.
Arsenal and United both interested in Benjamin Sesko
As per TBR football, Arsenal and United scouts were present to watch the RB Leipzig vs Bayern Munich clash. The report adds that Sesko was the main reason behind their attendance.
Sesko has surely impressed the scouts from all present clubs. He was able to score his 6th Bundesliga goal of the season. The 21 year old now has 11 goals and 3 assists in 23 matches across all competitions.
Sesko is tied with a contract running until 2029. He only signed the contract extension this summer. But, it seems like the 21 year old is very likely to move away from Germany. As of now, Premier League seems to be his next destination.
