West Ham United played host to Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, and Hammers News complied our player ratings from the game.
Brighton took the lead early on in the second-half, only to be pegged back by a Mohammed Kudus equaliser within just a few minutes.
It was a drab performance overall from a lot of the West Ham players today.
Julen Lopetegui is still yet to implement a discernible playing identity at the London Stadium, and that’s hugely concerning, nearly six months into his tenure.

The plan very much seems to be give the ball to Jarrod Bowen or Mohammed Kudus and see what they can do with it.
It’s not good enough, and many players aren’t living up to the high expectations right now.
West Ham player ratings vs Brighton
Her’s how we rated the Hammers players’ performances against Brighton…
Lukasz Fabianski 5.5
Solid in the first-half but made a truly shocking error five minutes inside the second-half. I would like to see him be more ambitious with his distribution as well. I have to give him some credit though, he made two very good saves in the second-half.
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
Aaron Wan-Bissaka 6.5
Didn’t contribute going forward disappointingly, but defended with aplomb.
Max Kilman 7
An extremely solid performance from Kilman, and he didn’t allow the Brighton attackers any clear-cut chances on the whole.
Konstantinos Mavropanos 4
Extremely poor from the big Greek centre-back. His passing was terrible and he lost the ball on numerous occasions when trying to break out from defence.
Emerson Palmieri 6.5
The Italian needs to do more in the final third as far as I’m concerned. However, he did perform his defensive duties well.
Edson Alvarez 4
Absolutely awful from the Mexico international. He’s just not at it at the moment, and he needs a serious kick up the backside.
Tomas Soucek 6
A nothing performance from the Czech Republic international really. He battled hard but didn’t do anything of note at all.
Lucas Paqueta 4
I’m beginning to lose patience with the Brazilian now, he’s been nowhere near good enough of late, and he was very poor once again against Brighton.
Jarrod Bowen 7.5

One of our better performers on the day, Bowen always tried to make things happen. His incredible run and subsequent shot led to Kudus’s equaliser.
Mohammed Kudus 7
The Ghana international hasn’t clicked at all this season. Lopetegui needs to start playing him either centrally or wide on the right. That said, he scored our equaliser at the end of the day, and goals win points.
Niclas Fullkrug 4
What an awful showing that was from Fullkrug. The German is painfully ill-suited to the pace of Premier League football, and it looks like we’ve bought a dud doesn’t it.
Subs:
Jean-Clair Todibo 5
Extremely poor. Gave the ball away numerous time and is far too lightweight for Premier League football.
Crysencio Summerville 6
A bright spark with little end product at the moment unfortunately.
Ollie Scarles 7
Impressive showing from the teenager – he has huge talent and will be a big, big player for us in the future.
Vladimir Coufal 6
Just not at the standard required for top tier football anymore in my opinion.
Guido Rodriguez N/A
The West Ham player ratings from Hammers News highlights just how poor we were in general against Brighton.
Big improvements are needed if Lopetegui is to remain in the job at the London Stadium.
