Speaking ahead of Celtic’s trip to face Dundee United, Brendan Rodgers remained coy on links with Tierney, although he did admit he keeps close attention to his progress.
The Bhoys are moving closer to the January transfer window with additions likely to occur, and Andy Walker has offered his thoughts on the prospect of an emotional return.
Andy Walker wants to see Kieran Tierney playing regularly
Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show, Walker made it clear that the main priority for Tierney has to be gaining regular minutes, regardless if he returns to Celtic or opts to move elsewhere.
He stated: “Well, I just want to see Kieran Tierney playing football, wherever it is; it was great to see him play the other night.
“He’s got so much ability, not just for whatever club he’s playing for but for Scotland as well. I think he’s got a lot to offer. If he’s coming back to Celtic, all well and good. I mean, he’s on a type of salary that I don’t think Celtic could get near to, but I don’t know if there’s a deal to be done.

Kieran Tierney will want to evade recent injury concerns
First and foremost, Celtic supporters will hope the man in question can stay fit at Arsenal after enduring a tough time due to injuries.
Earlier in the week, Tierney made his first appearance in 19 months against Crystal Palace before being withdrawn with a cramp after 69 minutes, excelling in a slightly advanced left-side role.
Over the Christmas period, a few more outings will help to improve his match sharpness before further information comes to light on his future.
