Arsenal have suffered a major injury scare ahead of the Christmas fixtures after Bukayo Saka limped off in their match against Crystal Palace.

The England star, 23, appeared to injure his hamstring after attempting to deliver a cross shortly after the 20 minute mark.

And after being treated by Arsenal's physio for a couple of minutes, Saka headed straight down the tunnel, sparking fears of the severity of said issue.

Saka's exit was a major dampener for Arsenal, who were leading 2-1 at the time courtesy of a brace from Gabriel Jesus. They have huge fixtures against Ipswich Town, Brentford and Brighton in the Premier League over the festive period.

Arsenal headed into the weekend six points behind league leaders Liverpool, who have also played a game less than Mikel Arteta's side.

After coming agonisingly close to winning the Premier League title twice in the last two years, Arteta and co know the upcoming flurry of fixtures in between Christmas and New Year represents the perfect opportunity for them to claw back points on the Reds.
