Carragher was not impressed.
Jamie Carragher was left furious over a moment during Arsenal's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace and thinks it should be banned from football.
Arsenal went into the break 3-1 ahead at Selhurst Park following a brace from Gabriel Jesus.
The goals were the first scored by the Brazilian in the Premier League since a win over Nottingham Forest all the way back in January.
Ismaila Sarr had earlier levelled at 1-1 for Palace with a finish from 18 yards.
But Carragher was not happy with a mistake made by Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya minutes before the goal was scored as he gave the ball away.
Raya received the ball inside his own 18-yard box but gave away possession after attempting a straight pass to an Arsenal player.
Carragher was infuriated by the error and declared that goalkeepers playing straight passes should be 'banned' entirely from football.
He said: "Goalkeepers should be banned from playing straight balls. They should have to play it out wide, put an angle on it.
"This is the worst passing football - a goalkeeper who plays a straight pass. The amount of goals you see conceded in the Premier League like this. It has to stop."
Arsenal went into the break with a third goal through Kai Havertz, who tapped in from close range following a save from Dean Henderson.
It wasn't the ideal half for Mikel Arteta's side, who encountered some shaky moments defensively, but the Gunners will hope to keep the pressure on Premier League leaders Liverpool - who play on Sunday - with three points on Selhurst Park.
They started the evening in fourth place after Nottingham Forest's win at Brentford earlier in the day, but will go back up to third and one point behind Chelsea - who have played a game less - should they pick up the win.
