Official: Barcelona’s line-up to face Atlético, featuring two changes

The XI of players set to be depended upon by Barcelona for the club’s upcoming showdown with Atlético Madrid has been unveiled online.

Barca, of course, are primed to return to action in short order.

In one of their most important fixtures of the season to date, the Blaugrana have welcomed the aforementioned Atlético to Catalunya’s capital, for a La Liga showdown.

The matchup pits the Spanish top-flight’s top two against one another, with Diego Simeone’s visitors eyeing a remarkable 12th successive victory across all competitions.

In turn, it may come as something of a surprise to hear that Hansi Flick has opted for some head-turning alterations to his line-up for tonight.

With Lamine Yamal absent through injury, Barca’s boss has overlooked Ferran Torres, in favour of Fermín López.

Not only that, but Dani Olmo has been dropped to the bench, with Gavi introduced in his place as the midfield spearhead in Flick’s setup.
