Tottenham join the race for Chelsea’s Liverpool target

Tottenham have joined Chelsea in the race to sign one Liverpool star. The player in question may be open to move away from the Anfield next year. It can be a big loss of Liverpool whereas a big gain for the club who signs him.

The player in question here is Liverpool backup keeper Caoimhin Kelleher. The 26 year old have been very good for the Reds in recent seasons. But, the player has still not been able to replace Allision. In addition, the Reds have already signed a new keeper this summer.

Liverpool have signed Giorgi Mamardashvili who will replace Allison next year. The Georgian keeper will keep Kelleher as backup once again next season. But the Irishman is unhappy and hence is said to be open to move away from Anfield.

The Blues are already linked with Kelleher. They are very likely to sign a new keeper next year. Robert Sanchez who is the main keeper has been unable to impress with his performances. The clubs has came to a conclusion of signing a high quality keeper soon in order to win major trophies.

Lastly, this will be a big loss for Liverpool. Kelleher has always stepped up in the absence of Allison. He has already played 13 games this season and has done well. Allison is back but has highly struggled with fitness issues recently. If Kelleher leaves in January and if Allison gets injured, the winning rhythm will be affected and the Reds may have to bid farewell to many trophies that are in their sights.
