Rob Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen continue to be the only two choices in goal. The defence is unsettled due to injuries with Malo Gusto, Marc Cucurella, Moises Caicedo, Renato Veiga, Axel Disasi, Josh Acheampong, Benoit Badiashile, Levi Colwill, and Tosin Adarabioyo all starting across the back line.

In midfield, Sam Rak-Sayki, Cesare Casadei, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall have started in Europe while Enzo Fernandez, Caicedo, and Romeo Lavia are preferred as the deeper two in the league.
In the attacking trio, Cole Palmer is the number one option in the middle with a winger battle developing between Jadon Sancho, Noni Madueke, and Pedro Neto for the two spots. Tyrique George, Joaoa Felix, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Christopher Nkunku have all come in if needed.

The number one striker option is Nicolas Jackson with Marc Guiu filling in against lower-tier opposition. Nkunku can also play here and often finishes matches as the striker due to substitutions.
Chelsea Recent Form and Tactics
Enzo Maresca has continued to tweak and perfect his 4-2-3-1/3-2-4-1 approach. The latest move has seen Marc Cucurella become a fixture as he inverts into an attacking midfield role. This allows for Caicedo and Enzo to play deeper, while Palmer has support through the middle. This is of course a fluid setup and usually allows even the deeper players to push up and attack around the box if needed.

These continued tweaks have seen Chelsea become one of the most in-form teams in all of Europe, they’re on a run of eleven matches undefeated in all competitions with wins in their last eight. Their inability to keep a clean sheet will no doubt come back to bite the team in the backside eventually but for now they’re managing to outscore everyone put in their path.
Chelsea Injuries to Consider
After a relatively calm period with a healthy squad the injury bug has returned. Maresca confirmed that both Badiashile and Wes Fofana are out for long periods, Lavia is unlikely to feature after a fairly mixed update. Cucurella is suspended due to card accumulation, Mykahilo Mudryk is suspended for failing a drug test, while Reece James is unlikely to start after being sidelined, the club captain will need to work his way back to match fitness.
