Newcastle convincingly beat Ipswich on Saturday with players like Jacob Murphy and Bruno Guimaraes playing their part in the Magpies second 4-0 Premier League win in a row.
It was clear that the momentum from the Leicester win and Newcastle advancing to the Carabao Cup semi-final was taken into this game. While Ipswich underperformed you can’t play down just how good Newcastle were.
Amid everything, there was a moment that fans may not have noticed at the time that shows just how good one player in particular was.

Alexander Isak was unplayable on Saturday, he became the first Newcastle player to score a hat-trick since 2019.
It could’ve been even more if he had taken a chance in the first half that was unlike him. The Swede was substituted for Miguel Almiron after 73 minutes where he received applause not only from the travelling Newcastle fans but the Ipswich fans as well.
It’s not often something like this happens but it’s evident that Isak’s performance left a lasting impression on the fans who braved the rain at Portman Road.

The trio of goals took Isak up to 10 for the season, the joint third-highest in this Premier League campaign. There were concerns over Isak’s form this season after early showings but has since found the boost he needed to kick on.

Isak has his fair share of admirers who would love to snap him up in a transfer window.
Arsenal have been linked with Isak in the past but Newcastle shut any chance of a summer move down after sticking a £180million price tag on him.
Isak is keen to sign a new contract at Newcastle but progress stalled earlier in the season.
The 25-year-old is surely eager to play consistent European football for a top club, Howe will hope he can be the person who takes Newcastle to the next level where they are doing that each season.
