Kai Havertz dedicated his goal against Crystal Palace to his pregnant wife Sophia Weber.

Havertz scored in the 38th minute as Arsenal secured an impressive 5-1 victory at Selhurst Park.

After scoring Havertz celebrated by putting the ball underneath his shirt and sucking his thumb.

The 25-year-old and his wife Sophia announced last month that they are expecting a baby, describing it as 'our biggest blessing'.

Havertz and Weber married on July 18 this year after getting engaged in 2023.

So far this season Havertz has scored six goals and provided two assists in 16 Premier League appearances.

In total across all competitions since joining Arsenal from Chelsea in 2023, Havertz has played 75 games and has scored 25 goals, while he also has ten assists.

Gabriel Jesus gave Arsenal the lead early on before Palace equalised through Ismaila Sarr.

Jesus then restored Arsenal's advantage before Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli and Declan Rice all managed to get on the scoresheet.

Arsenal's victory saw them close the gap on leaders Liverpool to three points, although Arne Slot's team have two games in hand.

However, the injury suffered by Bukayo Saka will be a cause of concern for Mikel Arteta's team.

Saka had to be substituted in the first half and was replaced by Martinelli.

Arsenal will return to action on December 27 with a home game against Ipswich.
