The ongoing struggles of Barcelona under the watch of Hansi Flick have on Saturday been summed up by one head-turning statistic.
This, of course, comes fresh off another outing to forget for Barcelona.
The Blaugrana marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming Atlético Madrid to Catalunya’s capital for a top-of-the-table La Liga clash.
When all was said and done, Flick’s troops found themselves condemned to the wrong side of a 2-1 result, owing to a last-gasp Alexander Sørloth winner.
This means that, across their last seven league outings, Barca have emerged triumphant from just one.
Such woes have culminated in the Catalans surrendering their advantage atop the Spanish top-flight standings, with Atlético now three points clear, whilst in possession of a game in hand.
At the halfway point of the campaign, Barcelona, all told, have in turn managed to piece together just 38 points.
This is three fewer than Xavi Hernández, who was ultimately sacked, had racked up at the same point in the season in 2023/24.
