This past summer, Paris Saint-Germain explored various options to strengthen their attack for the 2024-25 season, with Aston Villa’s Jhon Durán among their targets.
In October,Eduardo Burgos of Diario AS reported that both Bayern Munich and PSG made offers for Durán during the summer transfer window, but Aston Villa turned them down. Manager Unai Emery sees the young forward as a future star.
PSG and Bayern Munich aren’t the only clubs interested, though.A recent report from Fichajes indicates that Arsenal and Barcelona are also keeping an eye on the Colombian forward ahead of the 2025 transfer windows.

Fichajes reported on Saturday that Durán is viewed as a long-term investment to boost PSG’s attack. However, Aston Villa are reluctant to part with one of their top assets.
The English club recognizes the potential of their young star and isn’t willing to settle for a straightforward swap involving Randal Kolo Muani. Negotiations might include an additional payment from PSG, which could give them the upper hand, but no final deal has been made yet.
Durán is under contract until 2030 and Aston Villa hold all the leverage in talks with any interested club. Recently, the Italian newspaper Il Mattino reported that Napoliare seeking a partner for Romelu Lukaku and sees Durán as a strong option.
They have already been in contact with the Colombian striker’s representatives, but Villa’s €40 million (£33 million) price tag could make the deal tricky.
Nonetheless, that amount should be increasing considering the 21-year-old’s performance this season as he’s scored 12 goals in 25 appearances across all competitions.
