Carlos Soler would likely have to take a pay cut to make his West Ham stay permanent, although he is believed to be settled at the club, according to the Sunday Mirror.
The Spaniard has become a crucial player at West Ham and according to the print edition of the Sunday Mirror (22 December, pg71) the Irons “want to keep” Soler beyond this season.
Soler has also been linked with a move to Real Sociedad (Fichajes) but he is believed to be settled in East London with January potentially an opportunity to see the deal materialise at the London Stadium.
His contract at PSG runs until January 2027.
West Ham need to seal permanent deal for Carlos Soler
Soler had a slow start to life with the Irons with many questioning the impact he was capable of having although his performances recently have changed that perspective.
The Spaniard is growing into a crucial player for the Hammers and the prospect of a permanent switch is surely becoming even more enticing.

While West Ham have still struggled to pick up the desired results, there’s little more that Soler can do to impact that and his signing makes far too much sense to ignore.

His ability on the ball matched with his desire to play for the club make his acquisition a no brainer and for the reported £16.6 million (Le Parisien), the Hammers can’t afford to miss out.
The Irons would struggle to replace his quality for a fee as low as that and given his reported happiness at the club, they simply have to make his loan a permanent switch at the first given opportunity.
