After crashing out of the Carabao Cup, Manchester United turn their focus to the Premier League as they continue their hunt for the top four when they face Bournemouth later today.
A poor defensive display saw United lose 4-3 to Tottenham midweek, with the defeat ending United's Carabao Cup run in the quarter-finals. Losing the opportunity of a trophy will be frustrating for Ruben Amorim's side, but there's no time to dwell, with United back in Premier League action this weekend.
Bournemouth make the trip to Old Trafford later today, with the Cherries entering the weekend sixth in the Premier League. United took just one point from their two games against Bournemouth last season, losing 3-0 at home before drawing 2-2 on the south coast.
Luke Shaw and Mason Mount are both confirmed to miss out later today, while Andre Onana should return to the starting XI after being rested midweek. So, can Amorim's side make it back-to-back Premier League wins later today? Let's take a look...
Man United vs Bournemouth score predicted
To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 25 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.
We predict United could set up in a 3-4-2-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Onana; Yoro, Maguire, Martinez; Mazraoui, Ugarte, Mainoo, Dalot; Amad, Fernandes; Hojlund.
We predict that Bournemouth could line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with their starting XI as follows: Kepa; Smith, Zabarnyi, Huijsen, Kerkez; Christie, Cook; Semenyo, Kluivert, Ouattara; Evanilson.
Rasmus Hojlund looked sharp in the opening stages of the game, with the striker making some good runs in behind to cause unrest for the Bournemouth defence. The Dane was unlucky not to score when his shot from a tight angle was parried onto the post, but moments later, Hojlund finally got a reward for his hard work.

As Amorim's side moved forward with the ball, Kobbie Mainoo picked out Hojlund's darting run into the box with a driven pass. The ball landed at the striker's feet before he shifted it onto his right and fired home, beating Kepa Arrizibalaga at his front post.
A mistake from Andre Onana almost gifted Bournemouth an equaliser just before half-time when his pass out the back was intercepted by Evanilson, but rather than squaring the ball to his unmarked teammate for a tap-in, the striker selfishly shot from a tight angle, with Onana recovering well to make a save. As the game went on, the visitors started to look more dangerous on the ball, but a fantastic goal from Hojlund managed to open up a two-goal gap with 14 minutes to go.

Some neat footwork from Amad Diallo saw the winger beat his man before surging down the right, with Amad leading the United attack. The Ivorian sent an early cross into the box, and Hojlund cushioned the ball into his path with his calf before drilling a shot through the legs of the 'keeper for 2-0.
The striker was proving a great goalscoring outlet for United, with Amorim's side picking up a big three points at Old Trafford.
