Predicted Tottenham XI to face Liverpool
Goalkeeper – Fraser Forster: Ange Postecoglou will have to stick with Forster for this game despite the veteran’s shaky Carabao Cup display in midweek. With Vicario out for the foreseeable future, the Lilywhites will be hoping the mistakes against Man United will be far beyond Foster now.
Right-back – Pedro Porro: At right-back, Porro should retain his spot as Spurs do not have that many options at the moment to rotate as much.
Centre-back – Radu Dragusin: With Cristian Romero still injured, we expect Dragusin to continue as the centre-back for Ange as he is the only fit centre-back available.
Centre-back – Archie Gray: Except there is a shock inclusion in the eleven that sees Davies recover in time for this game, Archie Gray is set to feature alongside Dragusin for the fourth game in a row.
Left-back – Destiny Udogie: After a recent press conference, Ange has hinted that Udogie should be fit to feature in this game. If he does, that means Djed Spence is expected to get some rest in this one.

Pivot midfielder – Yves Bissouma: It is a big game, so we expect the manager to turn to his more senior players which means Bissouma who just returned from suspension should get back into the starting eleven. Bentancur who is still serving his seven-match domestic ban will miss this one, while Bergvall will be hoping to make an impact from the bench.

Central midfielder – Pape Matar Sarr: Postecoglou needs energy and someone to press from the front and Sarr has the best engine out of anyone apart from maybe Kulusevski.
Central midfielder – James Maddison: With Bissouma and Sarr bringing energy and grit to the midfield, we expect Ange to turn to Maddison for creativity in the middle of the park. His vision will be helpful should Spurs have chances on the break.
Right-midfielder – Dejan Kulusevski: We expect Deki to be shifted out wide in this game and to also be given the freedom to drift around the field as we saw against Manchester United. This means Johnson will sit this one out and probably will get back into the team in midweek.
Striker – Dominic Solanke: Off the back of a brace mid-week, the manager will be turning to Dominic Solanke again to inspire a victory for Spurs in this game.
Left-midfielder – Heung-min Son: After picking up four goal involvement in his last two games, taking his tally of goal contributions this season to 13, Son is guaranteed a spot on the wing, and hopefully he will lead his side to another famous victory.
