Cole Palmer has sent a clear warning to Everton ahead of Chelsea's Premier League trip to Goodison Park. The Blues are on an eight-game winning run with their last defeat coming back in October against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup.
Since then, Chelsea have beaten the likes of Brentford, Aston Villa and Tottenham which has placed them just two points behind Liverpool, the only team to have beaten them in league action, at the top of the table. Up next for Enzo Maresca's side is another clash in Merseyside, this time against Everton.
Though Sean Dyche's side sit just outside the relegation places, their recent form has been very good. Last weekend, the Toffees picked up a great point away at Arsenal with that following on from being beaten just twice in their last 11 games. They have also not lost on their own patch in the league since the opening day.
Based on that, the challenge that awaits Chelsea is a big one and Maresca is facing a number of decisions for the clash. Benoit Badiashile, Wesley Fofana, Reece James and Romeo Lavia have all missed action recently due to injury with all four likely to be absent again.
Marc Cucurella is also suspended while Mykhailo Mudryk has been spotted in Saudi Arabia after it emerged he was at the centre of an FA investigation for failing a drugs test. Major injuries have been rare for Chelsea this season and though there are a number of doubts, every player that could miss out seemingly has a suitable replacement.
Cole Palmer however, is one player that Chelsea would definitely struggle to replace. Thankfully for Maresca, he has not needed to leave him out of any Premier League squad and if what he is doing in training is anything to by, Everton could be in for a long afternoon.
In a clip uploaded to Chelsea's official X account, Palmer is captured rifling an effort into the top corner with Jadon Sancho watching on and left in awe of his effort. The video continues rolling and picks up Palmer saying: "You get that? I want that out tonight. I want Levi's megs and my shot."
And Palmer certainly got his wish with the Blues posting a 26-second clip which showed his stunning goal and nutmeg on Colwill. Palmer was unable to contribute to a goal in last weekend's 2-1 win against Brentford but he did score twice in Chelsea's last away game at Tottenham.
