Organizers of an exhibition football match between former Real Madrid and Barcelona stars have apologized after a meet-and-greet session reportedly left some fans disappointed.
The incident occurred during the Real Madrid Legends vs. Barcelona Heroes exhibition match, where some veteran players were reportedly dissatisfied with the arrangements and left the signing and meeting session early.
Fans who purchased a HK$6,880 ticket package expressed their dissatisfaction as they were unable to meet all the players, take photos, or obtain autographs, criticizing the services for not delivering what was promised.
The Consumer Council revealed that it received a complaint from fans who bought a HK$6,900 ticket set, which included a ticket for the match and a fan meeting. Unfortunately, the fan meeting was canceled at the last minute.
Legend Assemble, the event organizer, issued a statement in the afternoon explaining that they had done their best to address the issues at the signature event promptly. They maintain close communication with the Real Madrid Official Hong Kong Fans Club and the affected fans to ensure proper resolution.
The organizer also expressed deep regret for the inconvenience and confusion caused by the incident and committed to learning from this experience to handle future events more carefully and effectively to prevent similar issues.
The Real Madrid Official Hong Kong Fans Club shared on social media that their president had a 35-minute phone conversation with the event organizer in the afternoon. The organizer acknowledged the need for time to process the situation and promised to provide more information by Monday or Tuesday, continuing to follow up with the fan association.
The fan club noted that the issue has not yet been fully resolved or compensated and affirmed their commitment to continue pursuing the matter.
