Leeds United are going to need a new attacking midfield option in the new year to complete their side, and there could be scope to land Bournemouth’s David Brooks.
Leeds know that they have a huge opportunity to get back to the Premier League this season, and that January is going to be integral to making that happen more convincingly.
Daniel Farke won’t be too focused on getting names through the door in the new year, but an attacking midfielder could be worth signing.

Do Leeds need an attacking midfield signing?
For the most part, Brenden Aaronson has done a good job of slotting back into the Leeds squad since his Union Berlin loan, but the same problems with his game persist.
Decision making and cutting edge in the final third are sorely lacking, meaning an incredibly active player in one of the most dominant teams in the division has just one assist to his name.
Finding the right quality to rectify that output is hard in the January window, but Leeds fans know that a player with a better eye for a pass or goal would run riot in these games.

Former target David Brooks struggling for minutes at Bournemouth – worth a transfer offer?
Bournemouth and Wales’ right-sided attacking midfielder David Brooks is someone who is likely to be on the radar for multiple clubs in the new year, hopefully including Leeds.
The 27-year-old ex-Sheffield United winger has found playing time hard to come by under Andoni Iraola, prompting a move to Southampton in the second half of last season amidst reported interest from Leeds and others, where he helped them to promotion over the Whites at Wembley.
In that time, Brooks managed two goals and six assists under Russell Martin – playing one less game in half the season than Aaronson has managed this term already, and boasting five more assists.
This term, Brooks’ playing time hasn’t improved under Iraola, starting just one league game with eight appearances totalling 145 minutes.
The Welsh international no doubt has friends at Elland Road in Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu, Dan James, Charlie Crew and Karl Darlow, as well as fellow Saints loanee from last season Joe Rothwell, so convincing him to return up north might not be the hardest task.
A left-footer eager to drift in from the right flank is just what Leeds are needing to help connect with Jayden Bogle and others, and Brooks might be a realistic solution.
