Ola Aina talks through his goal against Brentford as Nuno's decision to play him at wingback…

Ola Aina has reflected on his fantastic goal for Nottingham Forest in the 2-0 victory over Brentford in the Premier League fixture played at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday.

Manager Nuno Espírito Santo's decision to deploy Ola Aina and Neco Williams in the wingback positions paid off as the two combined to score Nottingham Forest's first goal.

There was a change in shape, with three center-backs, four midfielders, and three forwards—a departure from the formation used in the victories against Manchester United and Aston Villa—but it proved effective.

Ola Aina opened the scoring in the 38th minute, side-footing Neco Williams’ low cross into the bottom left corner to register his second goal of the season.

Anthony Elanga wrapped up the victory as Forest ended Brentford’s unbeaten home record this season to move to fourth position in the Premier League standings.

Aina, who has started all league games this season, has now matched his best-ever goal tally of two goals in the English top flight after just 17 games in this campaign.

The versatile full-back has been in form for Forest, and he appears to be adding more strings to his bow, which he has revealed to be based on instructions from his manager, Nuno Espírito Santo.

Speaking to Nottingham Forest's [YouTube channel](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFL0F73BqK0) on his strike against the Bees, the Nigerian defender revealed that his goal was a result of adhering to the instruction of Santo

"The gaffer did say when you have a full-back on the ball in the crossing areas, I got to get in the box and being in around it just to affect it. Luckily, it fell to me and, just put it in the back of the net," Aina stated.

"It was alright, it was a cultured one, you know, nothing too fancy, just get me side foot, cool, you know so it was alright."

Forest are appreciative of the efforts of the London-born defender and are ready to hand him a contract extension, with his current deal set to expire next summer.
