David Sullivan was spotted hopping on the phone moments after West Ham substituted Niclas Fullkrug in their 1-1 draw with Brighton on Saturday, according to The Telegraph.
Matt Law, reporting via the newspaper’s website on 21 December, added that the Irons’ owner’s favoured agent, Will Salthouse, was also sitting next to him.
While it is unclear who Sullivan was on the call with or if it is related to Fullkrug, who failed to impress in his full Premier League debut, Law mooted the British businessman to demand answers regarding the striker’s transfer if he continues to disappoint.
Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten to question in Fullkrug to West Ham deal?
There has been an increasing mention of Fullkrug’s £27million price tag since his underwhelming performance against Brighton at the London Stadium on Saturday.
It appears the Hammers’ decision to fork out such an amount for a centre-forward turning 32 in February is quickly proving to be a mistake.

While Fullkrug needs to be given more time to regain momentum after missing most part of the first half of the season through injury, one cannot help but question Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten over his signing.
Steidten should take more responsibility as he was the driving force behind bringing the former Borussia Dortmund man to East London.

Fullkrug, meanwhile, is “very upset” with his situation at West Ham less than six months since his arrival [Christian Falk].
Therefore, it would not be a surprise if Sullivan attempted to cut losses with the Germany international and offload him next year.
