Wolves face Leicester City today and it’s the first game of the Vitor Pereira era.
Pereira was confirmed as the new Wolves manager on Thursday, with Wolves having finally sacked Gary O’Neil last Sunday.
Fosun had so badly wanted things to work out under O’Neil. But in the end, there were no signs he could pull Wolves out of the mess they’re in.
O’Neil was not fully to blame for Wolves’ struggles, but he was someone who could be removed to prompt change, and that was ultimately the decision that was taken.
Pereira is in now, and fans are optimistic.
And midfielder Andre has been speaking about Pereira – and there were words in particular that the Brazilian said that should excite fans.
Andre insists Vitor Pereira teams are ‘very well worked’ ahead of new dawn at Wolves

Pereira is something of a left-field appointment for Wolves, but he’s already started to get people on board.
He put in an impressive performance at his first press conference on Friday, and fans are just really hopeful he can turn things around.
Wolves midfielder Andre is pleased by Pereira’s arrival and to now work under a Portuguese coach, and the star says one thing that is bound to encourage fans about the new manager.

He said: “It’s really hard to play against his teams because they are teams that are very well worked, and teams who fight on the pitch and bring all the energy there.”
Pereira must bring stability to Wolves
The goal for Pereira now that he is the new Wolves manager is very clear – it’s to get results, and points on the board.
And to do that, he’s got to find a way of shoring Wolves up at the back.
In the vast majority of Wolves games this season there has been chaos, and Wolves just haven’t really played with any kind of identity.
It’s often been a case of passing the ball to Matheus Cunha and Jorgen Strand Larsen and hoping they can do something with it. This, while the defence has been all over the place.
The fact Andre has said Pereira’s teams in Brazil were ‘very well worked’ is reason for fans to be encouraged.
Those three words will be music to the ears of fans who have watched a very erratic team this season, and hopefully, it won’t be long until Pereira’s stamp is completely on this team.
Wolves are set to back Pereira in January with two new defensive recruits potentially, and hopefully, once he has some new players in, we will start to see big improvements.
