Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City run rule over €70-75 million-rated Bundesliga…

Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United have reportedly scouted 21-year-old RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko this week.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Benjamin Sesko is the subject of interest from several Premier League clubs. Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United have intensified their efforts to monitor him, dispatching scouts to watch the 21-year-old RB Leipzig striker in the Bundesliga game against Bayern Munich on Friday night.

Benjamin Sesko and his Bundesliga journey

Benjamin Sesko has established himself as one of the best young prospects in the Bundesliga since joining RB Leipzig from sister club Red Bull Salzburg in July 2023. While the highly-rated striker took some time to get going, he has not looked back since establishing a foothold in the first-team squad at the Red Bull Arena.

The 21-year-old has been excellent throughout 2024, and he has amassed 11 goals and three assists in 23 appearances across all competitions thus far this term. Meanwhile, Sesko’s progress at RB Leipzig has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe, including Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United.

A man in demand

The Slovenian international has been on Arsenal’s radar for a long time. Recent reports have claimed that the North London outfit might pursue an agreement with the youngster well before the 2025 summer transfer window. While Gabriel Jesus has stepped up this week, his long-term credentials remain doubtful, thus necessitating the addition of a new striker at Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Manchester City’s interest in Benjamin Sesko is understandable. While Erling Haaland has been exceptional for the Premier League champions, they have struggled for goals from other players. So, the RB Leipzig centre-forward has emerged as a viable target for Manchester City.

As for Manchester United, Joshua Zirkzee has struggled to stamp his authority, while Marcus Rashford will likely end his long association with the Red Devils next year. With Ruben Amorim preferring to rotate his troops, Sesko is an option worth considering. However, RB Leipzig’s asking price might pose a problem for Manchester United.

The Bundesliga giants will likely demand around €70-75 million to part ways with the 21-year-old Slovenian international next year. While Arsenal and Manchester City should not have any qualms about coughing up €70-75 million to sign Sesko, Manchester United might need to stray clear of PSG issues to secure his services.
