I saw £3m Nottingham Forest star show Nuno Espirito Santo that he's now undroppable, he was…

Nottingham Forest rode their luck at times but it’s now three wins on the trot for the Reds after a 2-0 victory over Brentford.

Thomas Frank wasn’t happy. But, then again when his team loses and Nuno Espirito Santo out-thinks him, he’s hardly going to be beaming.

Forest won courtesy of goals from Ola Aina and Anthony Elanga at the Gtech Community Stadium to continue sitting fourth in the Premier League.

Elanga admitted afterwards that Jermain Defoe has been texting him some advice and clearly, it’s starting to pay dividends on the pitch.

It wasn’t the winger who caught the eye as such though and on the opposite flank Callum Hudson-Odoi laid down a bit of a marker during the 2-0 win.

Callum Hudson-Odoi proves he’s undroppable for Forest

One player who got another chance to start against Brentford was Hudson-Odoi and he’s scored a couple of important goals so far this season.

Hudson-Odoi was in fine form against the Bees and constantly ran at the opposition, placing them on the back foot on a number of occasions.

Hudson-Odoi probably should have scored during the contest and missed two decent chances during the second half of the game.

The 24-year-old was instrumental throughout the win and he’s showcased of late to Espirito Santo that he’s pretty much undroppable.

Hudson-Odoi is getting sharper with every single game that he plays and given that he cost just £3 million, the winger has proved real value for money.

The recruitment at Forest often gets some bad press but to sell Brennan Johnson for £47.5 million and land Hudson-Odoi for £3 million is quite remarkable.

He was in fine form yesterday as Forest came away from West London with all three points and given that he used to play for Chelsea, Hudson-Odoi will have enjoyed the win.

Hudson-Odoi look to be thriving under Espirito Santo and it’s clear right now that he’s seriously enjoying his football.
