Merseyside Police have issued an update to Everton supporters to be careful as strong winds are present but the game is still to go ahead.
The Toffees host Chelsea on Sunday afternoon as the Merseysiders begin their journey under The Friedkin Group ownership.
Everton could cause a huge upset in the encounter with Chelsea having an excellent season of their own and thankfully, the game looks set to go ahead as planned.
Strong winds continue to hit Merseyside but an update was provided to supporters ahead of the clash.
As posted on the Merseyside Police X account, the update reads: “Please take extra care and extra time for your journey when travelling to Goodison today. It’s windy out there, but the game is still on.”

Everton have great chance to cause an upset
Everton need to show signs of improvement under Sean Dyche with the ex-Burnley boss believed to be “on trial” at Goodison Park ahead of any decision made on his future by TFG.
Performances so far this season have been incredibly lacklustre and at times the Toffees have looked devoid of confidence and ideas but that must change against Chelsea.
If the Toffees are to have any chance of a result, they must attack the game and simply can’t afford to sit back and absorb pressure from Enzo Maresca’s side who have far too much quality in their ranks to be worried about a low block.

Everton still have plenty of time to turn this season around but their way of playing needs to be changed if that is to be the case.
Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see how TFG’s takeover has changed the morale at the club and whether it can have a direct impact on the pitch.
