The Vitor Pereira era is underway at Wolves as the new manager took charge of his first Premier League game.
It’s been a week of change at Wolves, who sacked Gary O’Neil after losing to Ipswich Town.
Pereira was announced as the new Wolves manager days later, throwing himself straight into the challenge by taking training promptly.
Positive signs were seen early into the 56-year-old’s first outing in the Premier League, as the Old Gold took the lead against Leicester City after 19 minutes.

Wolves fans already have a song for Vitor Pereira
Pereira made several alterations to what we had become accustomed to seeing from O’Neil’s team selection.
The new boss handed Goncalo Guedes his second start of the Premier League season at the King Power Stadium and was quickly rewarded.
Guedes put Wolves ahead with a neat finish after some positive movement, sending the away end into pandemonium as the Old Gold took the lead.
The travelling supporters made their appreciation for the new manager known very quickly, serenading Pereira for the first time.

Journalist Liam Keen was at the King Power reporting and noted that fans were singing ‘Oh Vitor Pereira’, a song that was heard multiple times in a memorable first half.
Pereira sent a message to Wolves fans for the first time prior to the game and the loyal supporters sent one back to the boss shortly after.
Early changes seen under Pereira
Change was spotted as early as the starting XI was announced, as Pereira handed starts to Rodrigo Gomes, Jose Sa, and Guedes.
Both Gomes and Guedes were rarely used by the former manager, with the Englishman preferring other options, which was highlighted as an O’Neil blunder in the first half.
Both players scored for the Old Gold, letting Pereira know that his decision was the right one.
The same goes for Sa, who after a shaky few months returned to the XI and impressed early on, standing strong when in a 1v1 situation with Jamie Vardy.
It’s very early days, but the signs are promising so far and as a result, Pereira has earned himself some new fans.
